Disrupting the traditional Power Quality model

Power quality (PQ) refers to the quality of supplied voltage to the end user. Without uninterrupted power quality supply in an electrical network, electrical and mechanical equipments may overheat, malfunction, fail prematurely, require high maintenance and in many cases not operate at all. 
Today’s electricity network has evolved to include increased integration of renewable sources such as solar and wind. This transition has brought about non-linear loads which are the primary cause of PQ. Therefore, it’s crucial to detect and record variations in voltage, frequency and waveform distortion to overcome PQ issues.
