In my opinion, what I experienced in school visits was the creativity and enthusiasm within the students. Those children were so well educated and so talented and were having many ideas bubbling in their minds. It was such a good feeling to deliver them a beautiful opportunity to show the bubbling ideas to the world.

I felt proud to be a part of team volunteering such talented kids to bring up the ideas for our own nation.

I also felt myself pushed back into the past of my school days. It was a feeling like I am one of those kids discussing about some ideas of being a part of my nation’s development.

Thanks for selecting me as team member volunteering such activity.

I had a great experience by volunteering in the International Science Day event. As I was a part of the team ‘Redesigning City System – 2040’, I got a chance to interact with the students of class 11th and 12th of various schools. It was great fun and a learning experience for me as an individual, as it helped me build my confidence and improve my communication skills. It provided me an opportunity to learn to handle different situations and deal with students having different backgrounds and interests. By interacting with the students and building the ideas using stories to develop their interest was something new and exciting. I really enjoyed being a part of this team.

It was awesome experience to meet young and energetic students. There excitement can be seen clearly in their body language and behaviour.
All students were willingly listening to what we were explaining to them about the subject. Many of them had asked questions to clarify their doubts on the subject.
Response received from students was also satisfactory. We have received new ideas, thoughts & expectations from new generations.

ISCD has been a great experience for all the team members as well as an individual. Apart from the office work, it gave us time to think differently. For me, it came out to be very productive. I was indulged in the activity ‘Redesigning City System’. Along with my team, I visited various schools and invited students to think a little bit about the infrastructure and systems that hold our lives and communities together. Visiting different schools reminded me of my school days that was the best phase of my life. I have noticed various differences between the present school life and the one that I have experienced. We have smart classrooms now-a-days. Schools conduct various creative activities and many more. Hence, the schools pay attention on the overall development of a student in the present system. Moreover, this activity has boosted the confidence in me, helped me build the leadership skills. I improved my speaking skills as well as understood how to go along with a team. It was the team work that helped in completing this wonderful activity with a success. It gave me a new vision of thinking.

“It was good and joyful. We were facing unbelievable questions from students of different schools. Most of students were energised during our visit. We are missing this activity. It was an unforgettable event for us.”

It has been a wonderful experience to be a part of International science day event. The unique approach of students towards science is amazing. It also teaches us that to understand the perspective of young minds, we need to unlearn many things and relearn them again for better future of our nation.

It was a nice experience. Our first school visit was full of learning for us as well as for the students. We got exposure to engage in social activities while working in corporate world. We also pitched the students to think something new in various fields.

Learning, self motivating and new experience.
Face to face with students remembers me old days.
Exchanging ideas with kids is a great experience.
It is very good for personality development for individuals.
Everyone should try it at least once.

It is exactly what we most needed to start our social work. It was more than thoughtful to visit the children’s school. I really do not know with what words must I thank to Dharohar for the kind of work. It was a wonderful time I spent at Ryan and Adinath school with gathering of children at the last week of October 2016. Arrangements for debate were best.

I was privileged to be associated with ISCD in not one but two teams. One of the projects which our team handled was Toys 2040.
Toys signify the days of long lasting fun filled moments. Mere glimpse of toys in itself is enough to resurrect the hidden child in all of us.
Kids play and break stuff; what is different here; yes it is indeed. It is a constructive destruction, disassembling old and creating ingenious stuff.
Toys 2040 provided children a platform for innovation, chance to hone skills, transform their ideas into reality and develop curiosity. It was an amazing journey of creating prototypes to developing working/realistic models;

Kids now a days are so sharp that they know how to browse online games, how to handle electronic devices, how to repair the damaged; so may be in upcoming years, the futuristic generation will be so brilliant that even parents won’t need to purchase toys for them. The kids would be creating their own toys from junk yard/scrap yard and play.
As far as debate is concerned, it was not about altercations but delivering thoughts on the given topic and letting others present their perspective.
In the end I would like to say that “Engineering is merely not a degree, it is not a title; but it is an art, which was well evident from the avid participation of the students”.

This event was one of the most enriching experiences I have ever had. Interacting with kids regarding science and technology and getting to know their views on the day to day tech we use was overwhelming. These kids showed a lot of potential as future public speakers and/or debaters. Event was very well organised and we had huge public support in the celebration mall which itself spoke for the success of the event. Such events are a great learning platform for the kids as well as the adults.

This was my first visit to school where I get opportunity to interact with students. We explained them about vision 2040 and asked them to share their thoughts. We addressed many anxious questions of students and enjoyed the overall activity. There was good support from students as well as school staff.

This was all a new and enriching experience for me. We visited various schools and collected umpteen ideas from the kids regarding what they think of 2040. Their “Out Of Box” ideas like time travel, teleporting, youth serum and many more left me awestruck. From those ideas, I might conclude that our future will be super hi-tech and everything will be digitized, even us also! As it was my first interaction with kids, I got to learn a lot from them. After all, it’s always fun with kids.

Ronak Dagliya

Ronak Dagliya – This was my 1st participation in Khoj activity and I had a momentous experience. I was leading the team of “How history will see us today”. We visited five schools for the activity to explore the innovative and visionary thoughts of student from class 9th and 10th and were able to pocket stupendous response from them. Their thoughts on 2040 took as all together in the distinctive world and made us believe that 2040 will definitely be astonishing, be it in terms of technology, science, environment, social life, or anything. Few students also shared their eco concerns about these developments and urged to preserve our mother nature. Also, special mention for the event organized at Khoj center, which went fabulously well and very well appreciated. Felt proud to be part of team.

During this event, it was my first visit to school and interaction with the kids. We organised a debating competition and our theme was ‘Udaipur in 2040’. This event was not only about debating, it was like learning to speak your mind, bringing students together in small groups to craft their argument and practice public speaking, which expanded their knowledge of topics such as reducing work by encouraging automation, robots should replace teachers in school etc and building up self confidence in them. And seriously we were amazed by knowing what kids had in their mind about 2040 Udaipur. And yes, our future is going to be very high tech and luxurious.

Sanjib Das

It was awesome feeling to work with all of you guys. School visit planning, preparation of tool kits interaction with kids, noting their emotions, just gave me a yaad of my those days. Of feeling high ‘ chiriya ke tara’.

After school visit collection of information and jointly worked together to present some meaningful message received from kids in a short space. I find it was a great work.

Finally the D day of science day celebration. I find every moment beautiful and every team or cross team working like anything. Just like common soul passing through all around and guiding all what to do and how beautifully.

I enjoyed a lot every moment.

Deepak Jain

Most enjoyable thing was to see and work with a team with a great team spirit.
Learnt to manage my work which is in critical phase, so that I can get spare time to enjoy such social activities as well.
Few of our team members have put positive efforts in very short time, just to make event more attractive.
Enjoyed to see and help kids making beautiful science models.
Also enjoyed the evening show at ground floor of mall, experiments, debate, speeches and everything.

It was a very good experience of preparation for ISCD event. We interacted with the students of age group 9 – 13 to collect their thoughts of dream Udaipur @2040. We asked them to draw their imagination on paper and write some comments about what they like to have in Udaipur till 2040. They drew some beautiful pictures, their imagination amazes me. They think about clean Udaipur, automatic gadgets, good education facilities for poor, use of other sources of energy etc. which gives a very positive message to society.
And the team I worked with was very active. Sometimes meetings at very short notice, the early morning school visits won’t be possible without the positive team spirit.

Puran Lal Prajapat

It was good to generate curiosity and innovation.
I think it will be great if we can take one or two schools(govt) for development throughout the particular year.
