Meet our leaders

Secure’s leadership consists of the Group Executives, including our Group CEO, CEOs of our two Strategic Business Units (SBUs) and heads of all functions that support each SBU. Each member of our Group Executive is responsible for their area of the business, but at the same time we work collectively to make the whole business more effective. Working with our non-executive directors, we set the goals for the business and work tirelessly to achieve them.

Sanjiv Dhal

Sanjiv Dhal

CEO, Measurement and Controls
A Semsite since 2000, Sanjiv previously worked for Compton Greaves and Havells, marketing industrial electrical products. Since joining Secure, Sanjiv has established and grown the C&I and M&C markets in India, Asia, Africa and the Middle East from no presence to a dominant force. With expertise in utilities, channel marketing and developing new markets, Sanjiv is brilliantly placed to lead the M&C SBU. Sanjiv’s love for the Hindi language, sense of humour and agility with the spoken word bring joy and smiles to Semsites.
Kaushik Ghosh

Kaushik Ghosh

Group Diversification Officer
Kaushik has been associated with the group since 1996 and has played a pivotal role in successfully driving several new product introductions. As Chief Technology Officer and a member of the Group Executives, Kaushik is involved with strategy formulation, management of technology, new product introductions, portfolio management, and intellectual property. Previously, Kaushik had a nine-year stint at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, where he was involved with advanced avionics systems.
Asmita Goyal

Asmita Goyal

Chief Services Officer
Asmita is a career Semsite. She started as a Software Developer, working up to lead the function. She headed Application Engineering and took on the role of Chief Technical Officer for the then newly formed M&C SBU. This role combined development knowledge, market and commercial and financial value-based understandings of our products and systems. From there, she headed the global Benefit and Service Design function and became an integral part of the Secure Management team. She has grown a team of Semsites through the organisation and gets great joy in nurturing people. She is now Chief Services Officer, in charge of all developing and operating services around the globe.
Pankaj Jain

Pankaj Jain

Group Chief Technology Officer
Pankaj started his career with Secure Meters in 1992 as a Production Engineer and supported new product introduction. In 1994, he moved into Product Design and continued to develop new products and expertise in electronic circuit design. Pankaj headed the Hardware Design function and developed the Hardware Design team and skills in EMI/EMC compliance, reliability engineering, and communication technology. In addition, he set up development and testing infrastructure in EMI/EMC and reliability. He then became the Head of Technical Architects and managed overall product and system solutions' design and architecture. Later, he became the Chief Technology Officer for the Energy SBU. As the Group Chief Technology Officer, Pankaj is currently managing technology, new product introductions and portfolio management for the global market.
Rajesh Kohli

Rajesh Kohli

Head, Group Quality
Rajesh, for more than 20 years has tirelessly been a core part of building the institution that we have today. He has held various roles in the company and in the last 10 years or so he has helped us build a vibrant non-utility business and has also helped us evolve our customer service to suit their needs. Rajesh is providing leadership to the Assisted Living teams in the M&C SBU and is working on quality. Before joining Secure, he worked with renowned companies like Crompton Greaves and Havells, in a career that spans over 35 years.
Hemender Pandwal

Hemender Pandwal

Chief, Legal Affairs and Taxation

Hemender has been a part of the Secure family for many years. He plays a significant role in all mergers and acquisitions and ensures the financial security of the group. His pragmatic approach has helped the company through many years of sustained growth.

He is also responsible for the group's taxation and legal matters. He works closely with Amit Sharma to ensure financial compliance at all levels. Earlier Hemender also took responsibility for group finance and accounts.

Sridhar Radhakrishnan

Sridhar Radhakrishnan

Chief Operating Officer

After a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Sridhar specialised in manufacturing and completed his Master’s at the University of Warwick, UK. A certified Black belt and Lean champion, Sirdhar started his career in 1990 and has rich experience in plant operations, process engineering, project management and supply-chain roles.

Before joining Secure, Sridhar worked with Bajaj Auto, Whirlpool, and in various senior leadership positions. His last assignment was with TVS Electronics Ltd.
Amit Sharma

Amit Sharma

Chief Finance and Information Officer
Amit is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary by qualification. With more than 15 years’ experience in almost all facets of finance, Amit has handled a large number of global projects. He joined Secure in April 2016. Before joining us, he was the country financial controller for Akzo Nobel India Ltd, and business controller for its decorative division. He played a key role in transforming the finance function in the company. Amit has also worked for Indian Oil and ITC in various capacities.
Suket Singhal

Group CEO
Suket took a Master's in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College, London, before undertaking four years of further research, which earned him a PhD. Suket is based in Udaipur and has been a part of the leadership team involved in growing the business for over a decade, in particular, its global expansion. Today, as our Group CEO, he continues to work across different regions and market segments. Suket is constantly focused on developing the team and refining the organisation.
Ananya Singhal

Joint Managing Director

Ananya joined Secure in 2008 to help reduce our energy consumption and carbon footprint. He works with Secure’s executive team and ensures the team remains engaged, not only with Secure’s vision but with our customers. He continues to work with the team on people practices that are driven by our beliefs and takes a pragmatic approach to policies and their implementation. Ananya is also the Managing Partner of Studio Saar, a subsidiary architectural practice. Studio Saar has the ambition to create sustainable architectural and city planning solutions for society and is propelled by a strong interest in cross-cultural sharing of ideas, technologies, and solutions.

Sunil Singhvi

Sunil Singhvi

CEO Energy

Sunil has worked at Secure since 1991. While most of his time has been spent growing our business in India, SE Asia and Africa, he has worked in many areas of the business. He has a deep understanding of metering, its applications and markets.

Sunil was the head of IEEMA’s metering division for four years and a member of the governing board for the India Smart Grid Forum. Presently, Sunil is a member of IEEMA’s Executive Council.

Anup Kumar Prasad

Anup Kumar Prasad

In a career spanning over 37 years as an Indian Railway Accounts Services (IRAS) officer and around three years in the Insurance Sector, he dealt with the range of financial and accounting matters in Government of India. He also served as a Member of the Railway Board and a representative of the Finance Ministry in Railways. He carries a vast experience in project planning, contract management, budgeting and procurement. He is presently working as Ombudsman of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India, a Railway P.S.U.

Arvind Singhal

Arvind Singhal

Arvind Singhal has worked in industry for over forty years and is the Managing Director of Wolkem India Ltd, an Indian mineral mining major. He has also been involved with sports organisations in a leading role and serves as vice-president of the Badminton Association of India. He has been associated with Secure Meters since 1987 and brings experience in business and finance to the Board, particularly a long-term view on finance.
BS Babel

BS Babel

Mr BS Babel was part of the founding team at Secure Meters, who helped introduce smart electronic metering to India, and retired as Jt. Managing Director after a long and distinguished tenure with Secure. Mr Babel has 45 years' professional experience of working with large corporates, scaling up businesses, product management, managing projects, international marketing and general management. He is actively associated with IEEMA and CII.

Janat Shah

Janat Shah

Janat Shah is a mechanical engineer from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai and obtained his Fellowship in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is the founding director and professor of Operations Management at IIM Udaipur and is a leading authority in the fields of Supply Chain Management and Operations Strategy. Recipient of several teaching awards, Mr Shah has consulted with and been responsible for management education programs for executives in various large corporates.

Nandita Singhal

Nandita has been involved with the company since its inception and has worked at Secure since 2006. Her helicopter view of the business helps drive Secure’s strategy. Her values-based approach has strengthened the brand in all our territories and has propagated a culture that we are all proud of. Nandita led the Design and Communications team and spearheaded the employee engagement programmes, as well as starting our volunteering programmes. Today she is a member of the Board and the Council of Advisors, and continues to work at Secure, steering development from a design, usability and communications perspective.
Salil Singhal

Salil Singhal

Salil Singhal is Chairman of the Board and our Council of Advisors. Active within industry since 1965 in diverse fields of agrochemicals, fine chemicals, mining and metering, he has been associated with the Secure Group since its inception. He is currently a member of the National Council of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), India's largest industry chamber. He is on the Boards of several companies, in the fields of steel, building construction materials and the hotel industry. He is connected with several cultural and social organisations and brings a strong marketing and business development focus, and an international outlook to the Board.
Sanjaya Singhal

Sanjaya Singhal

Sanjaya Singhal founded Secure and played a pioneering role in introducing electronic metering to address tamper, fraud and poor data quality within utilities. He is a recognised expert in the energy supply chain, electronic manufacturing and business strategy. As Chairman of the Council of Advisors and the Board, Mr Singhal advises the business on strategy. His passions include Sanskrit, photography and teaching. He will continue to mentor Secure team members both in technical areas and how important living our values is for the business.
Shailendra Kumar Agarwal

Shailendra Kumar Agarwal

An IAS officer retired as Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of Rajasthan. During his long tenure, he served various departments of Government at different levels. His professional approach and administrative skills helped government resolving critical issues. His efforts also appreciated by the public at large.

Derek Lickorish

Derek Lickorish

Derek Lickorish MBE has close to five decades of experience in the energy industry. He is a member of Ofgem’s Sustainable Development Advisory Group and Secure’s Council of Advisors. He is also a trustee of Sustainability First, an environment think-tank that promotes long-term sustainability through practical thought-leadership on policy and practice for energy, water supply and water management. Previously he was Chair of the UK Government’s Fuel Poverty Advisory Group for six years, and is currently Chair of National Energy Action. Prior to focusing on fuel poverty, smart metering, sustainability and energy strategy, Derek was employed by EDF Energy as their Chief Operating Officer for 5 years. Derek was awarded an MBE for his ‘Services to the Fuel Poor’ in The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Honours 2012.

 

James (Jim) Galvin

James (Jim) Galvin

Jim has over 40 years of experience in the Australian energy sector, where he strategically directed and ensured the profitability growth of some prominent organisations such as AGL Energy and Alinta Energy. He has previously held Directorships with Queensland Gas Corporation (QGC), Elgas Ltd, and ActewAGL.
 
Jim has consistently delivered operational excellence and developed competitive products and services. He spent 4 years in Chile as the managing director of Gasvalpo, the nation's second-largest gas company.
 
For the last 20 years, Jim has been at the forefront of the regulatory changes affecting the Australian energy industry. As the former Director and Chair of the Energy Retailers Association of Australia, he worked with federal and state governments, regulators, and consumer groups to ensure the proposed regulatory changes met all stakeholders' needs.

Pradeep Bhargava

A veteran in the manufacturing industry, Pradeep brings invaluable experience to Secure's Council of Advisors, having worked both in the public and private sector.

Whilst with the government, he worked with the UNDP and the World Bank.

Shanker Iyer, FCA OBE

Shanker Iyer, FCA OBE

With extensive experience spanning over four decades, Shanker has built expertise on a wide range of international tax and business issues.

Encompassing experiences from Australia to the UK, Shanker's expertise in the areas of business finance and taxation is of immense value to the group.

Steve Jennings

Steve Jennings

Steve is an experienced consultant and strategic advisor specialising in energy and utilities. He holds senior advisory and non-executive director roles with various companies operating in the sector. He led PwC’s energy and utilities practice in the UK for over 10 years.
 
Steve’s recent experience has been centred around the UK but he has spent time on projects in the USA, Western Europe and Asia. He has worked and lived in Central Europe and Africa.
 
By way of background, Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, having trained in the audit profession and spent time in the industry as a Financial Planning Manager and Financial Controller.
 
He has spent much of his career working at the board level on growth strategies and designing strategic change programmes, often responding to market and regulatory changes that have their recent focus on the challenges and opportunities arising from the energy transition and the impact of ‘net zero’ emissions targets.
