Our country is known as the land of genius and bears a plethora of knowledge, recorded in numerous manuscripts over thousands of years. But when it comes to accessing them in today’s age, we fall short. Most of these manuscripts at present are either in a very delicate condition, difficult to handle or too complex to decipher.
Sanskriti is an attempt to make our ancient wisdom more accessible to scholars. It is a unique initiative to bring together technology and ancient heritage and create a digitally searchable catalogue of over 2 million Sanskrit manuscripts. These transcripts will be available with a high-quality image and the digital text of the manuscript and will serve to protect our legacy, which is at risk of getting lost in time.
