Secure Meters is committed to responsible sourcing and ensuring that our supply chain does not contribute to armed conflict or human rights abuses. We are committed to avoid the use of tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold (3TG) sourced from conflict-affected or high- risk regions, including the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries, where trade in these minerals may finance armed groups.
Although Secure Meters does not directly source 3TG from mines, smelters or refiners, we expect our suppliers to support compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements on conflict minerals.
- Encouraging suppliers to source responsibly and avoid 3TG from conflict regions.
- Requiring suppliers to establish and maintain policies, due diligence measures, management systems and to extend the same expectations to their upstream supply chains.
- Supporting suppliers in identifying alternate sources wherever appropriate.
- Taking corrective action, including remediation plans or termination of relationships in case of non-compliance.
We value long-term, collaborative partnerships with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical sourcing. By upholding this policy, Secure Meters seeks to protect human rights, promote responsible supply chain and contribute to global efforts in eliminating conflict financing.
