After such a difficult year it was uplifting to hear so much positivity surrounding the future of home care coming out of this year’s virtual TSA iTEC Conference
Without doubt it has been the most challenging year the sector has ever faced, however home care providers have taken this negative experience and turned it into a positive for the long-term viability of their businesses; they have successfully pivoted and repositioned themselves by embracing the move away from reactive care, to a proactive and preventative care model.
Their strength and tenacity in the face of incredible hardship should be applauded, and we thank them for their hard work and resilience.
At the heart of the transition from reactive to proactive practices are advances in technology, or more specifically TEC (technology enabled care), including predictive analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning and sensor technology. It is these devices that are making the dream of proactive care management a reality.
