James (Jim) Galvin

Jim has over 40 years of experience in the Australian energy sector, where he strategically directed and ensured the profitability growth of some prominent organisations such as AGL Energy and Alinta Energy. He has previously held Directorships with Queensland Gas Corporation (QGC), Elgas Ltd, and ActewAGL.

Jim has consistently delivered operational excellence and developed competitive products and services. He spent 4 years in Chile as the managing director of Gasvalpo, the nation’s second-largest gas company.

For the last 20 years, Jim has been at the forefront of the regulatory changes affecting the Australian energy industry. As the former Director and Chair of the Energy Retailers Association of Australia, he worked with federal and state governments, regulators, and consumer groups to ensure the proposed regulatory changes met all stakeholders’ needs.
