In October 2016, I began my internship at Secure. The experience was of valuable learning and professional development. When I started my journey in the Quality Assurance team, I met some of the most wonderful people who mentored me at every step.
As a part of my training, I learned about various audits conducted on the production line, failure analysis, preventing future failures, and the processes that play a significant role in the quality assurance of the products.
The internship was going well until one fine day when I received a call from HR; I was asked to meet the Head of HR. The call made me nervous. I thought maybe I had made a mistake in the past few days, but I couldn’t recall anything. My anxiety and concern increased as I went for the meeting. The Head HR began the meeting by asking if I was interested in working in a paint shop. At the time, I had no idea about paint shops and how they operated. I simply said, “Yes, I am interested”. My curiosity was piqued, and I looked forward to learning more about this new possibility. During the meeting, he told me that I would be interviewed by Hemant Sir (one of our group executives) for the same.
In May 2017, I was interviewed by Hemant sir. The interview went great. We had an in-depth discussion about the paint shop project. It was a little intimidating for me at first to work in a Mechanical department since I am an electronics engineer. Nevertheless, I am grateful that I took advantage of the opportunity and gained many valuable skills. Furthermore, I could now apply the knowledge I acquired from the Quality department in my new position.
