With a quirky, independent and creative cultural scene, an eclectic combination of grand buildings, terraced streets of brightly coloured homes and a city-center port which is now a thriving cultural hub, it’s easy to understand why residents rate Bristol so highly for well-being and happiness.
Secure came to Bristol in 2007, when Secure acquired Horstmann Controls. A long tradition of reliability fused with cutting-edge technical innovation, firmly underpins our work here today.
From Brunel’s Clifton suspension bridge and Temple Meads railway station, to Concorde the supersonic jet, Bristol has a long history of engineering feats. Along with Bath, it’s one of Europe’s fastest growing tech hubs, with exceptional universities and schools, extensive parks and top-class sporting events. Gateway to the West Country, we have quick access to the sea and stunning countryside.
We are a diverse, friendly group, very used to welcoming colleagues from all over the world. We frequently gather informally and have an active social club that is always there for those who wish to join activities such as go-carting, river trips, music gigs, shows, even traditional bingo nights.
We have a modern office with plenty of onsite parking. For those who bike in there is a secure lock up and showers. We have a large cafeteria, and easy access to shops and eateries. On the periphery of the city, we are well served by safe cycle routes, regular buses, have good access to motorway routes and are just 90 minutes from London.
Enduring relationships are common here. Our site head joined the premises as an apprentice in 1974. He credits Secure’s commitment to his evolving career and to all our people’s development, and the depth of care and consideration we extend to one another personally.
