1.1 Secure Meters (Australia) is the Australian subsidiary of Secure Meters, a multi-national group headquartered in India. The group employs approximately 7,200 people across 10 countries, with the majority of its workforce based in India.
1.2 Secure Meters (Australia) Pty Ltd is involved in sales and post-sales support of products and services related to the electricity and gas markets, including 1. Metering products 2. Data delivery and management as a meter data provider within the Australian National Electricity Market 3. Energy management solutions, and 4. Energy efficiency controls. 1.3 Secure Meters (Australia)’s supply chain is primarily internal to the Secure Meters group, with most products sourced from Secure Meters. As the principal manufacturer, Secure Meters produces the majority of the products sold and supported by Secure Meters (Australia).
2.1 Secure Meters regularly reviews and monitors its supply chains to identify, assess, and manage the risks of modern slavery. Both Secure Meters and Secure Meters (Australia) undergo independent audits by TÜV SÜD to verify compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management system standards.
2.2 We communicate to the organisations we do business with that we have zero tolerance for any form of exploitation. We actively promote responsible employment practices throughout our supply chain to help ensure that workers operate in safe and healthy environments, understand their rights, and can raise concerns without fear of retaliation, reflecting the standards, culture, and values we uphold within our own organisation.
2.3 We seek, where possible, to incorporate anti-slavery obligations in our supplier contracts.
2.4 We seek to maintain visibility across every stage of our supply chain so that we understand who provides goods and services to us. We also have appropriate mechanisms in place to monitor compliance. This includes:
- vetting all suppliers to ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations,
- requiring all suppliers of Secure Meters to sign its Code of Conduct and agree to regular audits to verify ongoing compliance, and
- terminating supplier contracts where there is a failure to comply with Secure Meters’ Code of Conduct.
