Same product, various possibilities. We’ve made some changes in our portfolio of UK heating and hot water controls. We’ve reduced the number of controls in our range so we can focus our portfolio on the best energy-saving and compliant solutions for domestic heating and hot water controls. Technology is continually changing as well as the market demand for simple, smart, and affordable solutions. In our mission to contribute and foster a more sustainable future, we have taken advantage of new developments in technology to focus on a selective set of products that actively help our customers to optimise energy usage and to save money simultaneously.
Our simple and affordable smart controls C1727 and H3747 have been designed to supersede the following product ranges:
All these products have been very popular and have served our customers very well over the years. We have now upgraded them with our smarter controls C1727 and H3747 and consolidated our portfolio so we can give more focused support, and leverage advantages in technical developments that will meet energy-saving compliance legislation – such as Boiler Plus. We have also launched the E7+, the latest version of the Electronic 7 hot water programmer. The existing product ranges will still be supported by our technical support teams, in the future, and are still covered by the solid no-quibble warranty.1

The new C1727 is a 2-channel smart unit that can control heat pumps, combi, and system boilers. Out of the box it is Bluetooth and app-enabled and has the option of a plug-in Wi-Fi adapter to give complete remote control. The C1727 is designed to supersede the CentaurPlus (C17, C27), ServicePlus (S17R, S27R) and ThermoPlus (PRT1, AS1, AS2) ranges of time switches and programmers by using the same wall plate with minor wiring changes, providing benefits of extra connectivity.
The new unit is ideal for replacing traditional wired controls for systems that require separate control of heating and hot water or multiple heating zones. The C1727 can easily control a single or double heating zone, or heating and stored hot water systems. You can even control the schedule of an existing wired thermostat or add extra sensors to a spare zone to give further control. There is no hub or gateway to configure and power for remote access; simply plug the Wi-Fi card into the front slot, provide the password via the app and you will be connected.
The range also includes many of the latest Boiler Plus energy-saving features, such as optimum start and stop per heating zone, as well as on-off load compensation. This significantly improves boiler efficiency by preventing short-cycling and overshooting of temperature and helps to save energy and money and improve efficiency.
The new H3747 is a 4-channel smart programmer which can control heat pumps, combi and system boilers, or even regular wired thermostats. It is designed to supersede the ChannelPlus (H17XL, H27XL, H37XL, H47XL) range and also 425 Series (Diadem, Tiara, Coronet), by using the same wall plate with minimal wiring changes, whilst bringing connectivity features. Out of the box, it is Bluetooth-enabled and works with a mobile app in addition to the provided programable thermostat. With the optional plug-in Wi-Fi adapter, the H3747 can even remotely control your home in a few simple steps.

The new E7+ is the latest version of the Electronic 7 hot water programmer. Designed to be the successor to both the Electronic 7 and the Economy 7 Quartz, it is easy to install or retrofit. It can also be controlled via Bluetooth with the same Secure app as our controls range and can be upgraded to full smart control with the optional plugin Wi-Fi card. The E7+ is designed to control one or two 3kW immersion heaters, utilising off-peak electricity tariffs to provide a full tank of hot water whenever required. Each heater can be programmed separately for maximum energy saving and control.
All our new range is covered by the Secure 7-year no quibble warranty. They also can all be used with the Secure app, either via Bluetooth in the home or from anywhere by purchasing a Wi-Fi card. With the adaptability of the range, it can work in a variety of different situations. It provides cost effective heating controls. Legacy technology can be updated, whilst keeping functionality, allowing for future upgrades without needing to reinvest in new and expensive smart controls. It is also future proof as it can receive firmware upgrades, meaning that if legislation should change in the future, so can these controls.
This range also provides versatile heating controls. The controls are simple to use and can work with the Bluetooth enabled app. If a homeowner is looking for a fully smart product, they can purchase the Wi-Fi card, allowing for a simple upgrade to fully smart. There is no need for an installer, the upgrade can be done by anyone.
The range is simple, affordable, and smart capable. It allows the user to choose how smart they want the range to be. It provides energy saving and improves efficiency, which has the combined benefit of saving money by reducing energy bills.
